Jim Torrens, M.A.
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #129458
Supervised by Eric Koblenz,
As a person in my sixth decade, I understand the joys and challenges of marriage and parenting, the daunting task of launching and managing a career, and the fear of not being able to make ends meet. I know the frustration of working in a job I do not love as well as the satisfaction of doing work that matters to me and that I enjoy.
At the Marina Counseling Center, I bring this lived experience to my work with every client. I also bring my experience supporting people with emotional and mental health challenges as a peer counselor at the Mental Health Association of San Francisco.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University and my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute.
Please contact me to discuss how I can support you.
